Year Five

Year Five is a year of challenge, growth and increasing independence, where pupils are encouraged to deepen their understanding and take greater responsibility for their learning. Rooted in our Christian vision and values, children are supported to develop resilience, empathy and a strong sense of community, recognising the importance of supporting and respecting one another as they learn and grow together.

Through engaging and meaningful learning experiences, pupils are encouraged to think critically, apply their skills across the curriculum and aspire to achieve their best, while developing confidence in their own abilities and a positive attitude towards learning.

We have two wonderful Year 5 classes. Geckos are taught by Mrs Geear, and Hummingbirds are taught by Mr Hall. Our teachers work closely together to ensure a consistent and nurturing learning environment, where high expectations are balanced with care and encouragement.

Our learning is further supported by our dedicated Teaching Assistants: Mrs Richards, Mrs Oakes, Mrs Alcock, Mrs Hayward and Mrs Clowrey. They play a vital role in providing guidance, reassurance and additional support, helping every child feel confident, valued and included.

We look forward to a fulfilling year in Year 5, where pupils continue to grow academically, spiritually and socially, guided by our Christian values.

Online Safety

Online safety is more important than ever in today’s digital world. As students spend more time learning, socialising, and exploring online, it’s essential they understand how to stay safe, protect their personal information, and make responsible choices.

We encourage all students, parents, and carers to take a moment to visit our dedicated online safety webpage, where you’ll find helpful guidance, resources, and tips to support safe and positive online experiences.
