Leading Lights

Leading Lights are pupil leaders elected from across the school who play an important role in supporting and enriching the Christian life of Holy Trinity C of E Primary School. Chosen by their peers, they represent the voice of the pupils and demonstrate the values that underpin our school community. 

As part of their role, Leading Lights help to lead and support collective worship. They welcome the school community, introduce the focus for worship, read Bible passages and lead prayers, helping to create a calm, respectful and reflective atmosphere. Through this responsibility, they encourage others to engage thoughtfully with worship and the messages it brings.

Leading Lights also contribute ideas to help shape worship across the school. By gathering views from their classmates and sharing these in meetings, they help ensure that collective worship remains meaningful and relevant for all pupils.

This leadership role enables pupils to develop confidence, responsibility and a deeper understanding of faith in action. By modelling our school values of CARE – Community, Aspiration, Resilience and Enjoyment, Leading Lights help to inspire others and contribute positively to the spiritual life and sense of belonging within our school community.
