The Role of our Governors
Our Governors provide robust challenge and support to leaders through regular monitoring of the school’s Christian values, curriculum impact, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Governors at Holy Trinity C of E Primary School play a vital role in supporting, promoting and protecting the school’s ethos and the interests of pupils and staff, while acting as an effective link between the school and the wider community. They provide robust challenge and support to leaders through regular monitoring of the school’s Christian values, curriculum impact, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. This work has contributed to improved pupil outcomes, strengthened behaviour policies and the school’s sustained capacity for improvement.

How Governors Work
Governors make decisions based on recommendations from committees, each focusing on specific areas and reporting back to the full Governing Body.
-
Committees meet formally once per month, and minutes are available for parents.
-
Governors with special responsibilities—such as Finance, Literacy, Maths, SEND, and RE—also meet termly with the relevant member of staff.
Terms and Training
Governors are elected for an initial four-year term. All governors are encouraged to undertake training to stay up to date with legislation and to continue developing their skills.
Contact
Governors can be contacted via the school office or by email at admin3204@welearn365.com
