You asked... We did!
At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, pupil voice is central to our culture of continuous improvement. The “You Asked… We Did!” initiative ensures that pupils’ ideas and suggestions are listened to carefully and translated into meaningful actions that benefit the whole school community.
Through School Council and Pupil Parliament meetings, pupil feedback and class discussions, children are encouraged to share their views about learning, playtimes, wellbeing and the wider school environment. Our school leaders actively respond to these suggestions, demonstrating to pupils that their opinions are valued and can lead to positive change.
As a result, pupils understand that they play an important role in shaping their school. They develop confidence in expressing their ideas, learn to engage respectfully with different viewpoints and gain a practical understanding of democracy, responsibility and active citizenship.
This approach helps to create a strong sense of belonging and shared ownership across the school. Pupils take pride in improving their environment and supporting one another, reflecting our values of CARE – Community, Aspiration, Resilience and Enjoyment. By embedding pupil voice in everyday school life, Holy Trinity nurtures confident, thoughtful learners who understand that their ideas can have a positive impact both within school and beyond.
